About Me

My name is Steve Ashworth I am British and I am a graphic designer, project manager and entrepreneur with approximately 10 years combined experience.

I graduated from a British university called Teesside University in 2002 with a BA Hons in Graphic Design.

When I left university in 2002 I immediately started my own business which was called 1079 Graphics. During the time stated I worked with clients from all over the world fromĀ  countries such as the United States, Australia, South Africa and the UK ranging from small to large sized Companies. My design services included designing logos, magazine advertisements, brochures, stationery, exhibitions and concept designs for software and websites. During 5 years serving clients personally at 1079 Graphics I achieved 100% positive feedback from my clients which is something I am proud of to this day.

In 2007 I started a new company called Boro Takeaways which was an online takeaway ordering service for the North East of England, I worked personally with the software development team managing the tasks, developing and testing our own SMS printers and software which were used to receive our customers orders. I was involved in assisting with our own in-house advertising and marketing campaigns for Boro Takeaways which helped build awareness of Boro Takeaways throughout the North East. My duties included assisting with the day to day running of the business, working on Sales duties which included building relationships with local takeaways and restaurants, building relationships with various service providers, and working alongside and managing the website development team. We recruited over 30 of the most popular local takeaways and restaurants to our service.

After 2 years as Director of the company I made the decision to leave in 2009 and began working with a successful entrepreneur by the name of Brian Barghout who I met initially because I happened to work on some graphics for one of Brian’s websites this led to more and more projects and Brian became a mentor to me. After working with Brian for sometime on various projects and after showing the necessary drive, passion, character and willingness to learn he was impressed enough to offer me a position as a Project Manager as Brian was busy with other projects he needed someone to step into his shoes. As Project Manager I managed as many as 20 virtual assistants who were located all around the world and in multiple time zones. My duties as Project Manager included managing the development of physical products, software development, powerpoint presentations, video presentations, digital products, websites, Youtube channels and SEO campaigns. Each project was a fresh challenge to me and I very much enjoyed this aspect of being a Project Manager and having the responsibility of building teams, motivating and managing a team, learning new skills, thinking outside the box, solving problems, adding my creative input, and seeing ideas come to fruition was very satisfying for me.

During my time at Kiva Studio we worked with clients such as Prostate Cancer Research Institute on a number of projects including the PCRI.org and PCRI Mentors websites, as well as the PCRI branded MLA-Device Medical Software. The PCRI are the 2nd largest Prostate Cancer Research Institute in the USA they are classed as a non profit organization. We also worked with General Consolidated Impex who are one of the largest exporting company’s in Hong Kong to name just a few of our clients. Recently I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong to meet with the Directors of General Consolidated Impex in person. During my time in Asia I spent a month visiting some truly amazing locations in Cambodia, China and Hong Kong it was such an awesome life experience for me and something that I will never forget.

Since 2011 I have held positions at Mainframe UK and most recently at Littlecote Soap Company Ltd as a Technical Manager my duties included providing IT support to Littlecote Soap Co. staff both onsite and remotely, updating products and descriptions from the Littlecote website, coordinate any offline or online projects which included PR, marketing, social media and trademark accounts. I also acted as the in-house Graphic Designer for Littlecote Soap Co. which included designing for print and web. My main responsibility was to ensure that all projects are constantly moving forward and to aid in the constant development of the Company and the Littlecote Soap Co. brand.

I am now offering my graphic design, project management, and SEO management services to clients so if you’re interested in working with me please feel free to contact me so we can discuss your project or proposal in more detail.
